I was out in LA for the premiere last week and really enjoyed getting first hand audience feedback. After all the hard work it is very gratifying to get attention for our film. There is another screening tomorrow, Saturday July 1st at the Majestic Crest at 3:30 and upon hearing that a good turnout was expected I changed my plans and I'm flying out from NY to be there. I look forward to discussing the film and receiving audience comments.
Thanks.

As writer and director of One Rat Short I set out to make a CG film that looked and felt our own. I wanted to create a dark gritty world with Film Noir undertones and an alternate universe that was sterile and white. I didn’t want to create brightly colored characters that acted and spoke like humans because that’s just not me. I wanted the challenge of telling a good story without using anthropomorphic animation. Although I enjoy laughing as much as anybody, I wanted to make an animated film that touched the human heart in a bittersweet way.
